Most known as the “First full time Pike on Fly Guide in the UK” (Trout Fisherman 1998)

I grew up in Zimbabwe fishing for Tiger fish, large mouth Bass and Catfish. I have fished and guided from Mozambique, South Africa, Egypt, Dubai, Oman, Croatia, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Scotland, England and Florida for species as diverse as Salmon, Sailfish, Tiger fish and Trevally, to name but a few.

I’ve been based on the Middle Thames running a 15ft boat for the last 10 years and specialise in personal tuition for both fly and lure fishing from individuals to corporate events. Despite specializing in alternative species on the fly (mainly pike) I guide as many trips for Trout on chalk streams (Ireland 5 years ) as I do running clients boats on the Isle of Wight (8 years- RYA day skipper) salt water fly fishing. For five years I took numerous small groups to the Arabian Gulf to tease Sailfish on the fly. I also undertake consultancy work for the Environment Agency and have been a passionate ambassador regarding environmental issues. I was technical consultant for the underwater filming link shown below filmed less than 500m from my house.
